VS Code auto-completion for JavaScript completely broken after update – any fixes?

After the recent VS Code update, my JavaScript IntelliSense has completely stopped working; it's not suggesting anything beyond basic keywords. I've tried reinstalling extensions, disabling/enabling them, and restarting, but nothing helps. Is this a known issue, or am I missing a crucial setting here?
