Desperate for truly comfortable dressy heels – do they even exist?

I have a big event soon and need elegant heels, but every pair I own or try on becomes torture after an hour. My feet can't take another night of pain. Has anyone found a brand or specific style that genuinely offers comfort *and* style? I need your best recommendations ASAP!
