Why does my Apex Legends frame rate tank ONLY during gunfights, despite good specs?

My PC has an RTX 3070 and Ryzen 7, but Apex Legends randomly drops to 40-50 FPS *only* when I'm in a firefight, making it impossible to aim. It runs perfectly smooth otherwise. I've updated drivers and tweaked settings, but nothing works. Is this a known bug, or am I overlooking a crucial setting? Really hoping for some insights here.
