Malenia's Waterfowl Dance: Is there ANY consistent way to dodge it solo without summons?

I've been banging my head against Malenia for hours now in Elden Ring, trying to beat her solo and without spirit ashes. Her Waterfowl Dance attack just annihilates me every single time, no matter what I try – running, rolling, even trying to out-space it. Am I missing some crucial timing or technique, or is it genuinely just a prayer without heavy poise or a shield? I'm desperate for some advice!
