Kurdish Poet Borazboz

Borazboz, Kurdish poet thought to have lived in the B.C. 330s. The poet from the Hewraman city is the author of the first known Kurdish poem in Kurdish history titles “Bi Hevre” which translates to English as “Together”. This poem, which is the first written work known to belong to the Kurds, was found on a tombstone in Hewraman, Iran, by British archaeologists in 1950, and is now exhibited in a museum in London. In his poem, the poet describes his longing for his deceased wife.
