Shooting at Israeli Consulate in Istanbul: Three Gunmen Identified

Turkish authorities have released the identities of the three gunmen responsible for the recent shooting near the Israeli consulate in Istanbul. According to the Interior Ministry, the attack resulted in one fatality among the assailants and the “neutralization” of two others.

The gunman killed at the scene has been identified as Yunus E.S. The ministry noted his affiliation with a “terrorist organization that exploits religion” but offered no further specifics.

The two injured attackers, identified as brothers Onur Ç. and Enes Ç., are currently in custody.

Two officers sustained injuries during the exchange. Fortunately, neither is in critical condition; one was treated for a gunshot wound to the leg, while the other was struck in the ear.

The Interior Ministry confirmed that “intensive digital communication” was found linking the three individuals. Interrogations of the two surviving suspects are ongoing as investigators work to uncover the full scope of the plot.
